No predefined maximum. Requested funding should be justified with respect to the project work plan.
TRL start-end range from 1 to 5: the activities of Partners requesting funding from ANR must be positioned at "basic research" segment or at the first segment of "applied research". TRL 6 and above are not eligible for ANR funding.

The standard funding rules of ANR apply (please consult https://anr.fr/fr/rf/for more details). Within this framework, personnel costs, consumables, subcontracting (within 50% of the eligible costs for the partner), equipment and travel costs may be eligible. Eligible costs depend on the type of partners requesting support.
Eligible Topics for ANR:
Topic 1 – Sustainable advanced materials for energy
Topic 4 – Functional materials
Topic 6 – Next generation materials for advanced electronics
Submissions at stage 1 are done at the centralized M-ERANET level. It is not necessary to request ANR’s formal approval before submitting a pre-proposal.
Projects invited to stage 2 will be contacted via email (deadlines and precise address will be specified) to submit their full proposal to the ANR platform, in addition to the centralized submission.
Financial reporting at the national level is needed, following specific requirements regarding the final financial reporting. Please consult the appendix for partners requesting funding from ANR to this call on the ANR website. The M-ERA.NET level scientific reports must also be submitted in the ANR platform.
