Innosuisse – Swiss Innovation Agency |
Programme Profile |
Innosuisse is the Swiss Innovation Promotion Agency. It is a federal entity under public law with a separate legal personality. Innosuisse’s role is to promote science-based innovation in the interests of industry and society in Switzerland. Innosuisse especially promotes the partnership between academia and the market with innovation projects, networking, training and coaching, laying the groundwork for successful Swiss start-ups, products and services. It provides considerable benefits for a prosperous and sustainable economy. Innosuisse provides support in accordance with the subsidiarity principle: it will only support excellent innovation projects if there are no other funding possibilities to implement them in a potential market. Innosuisse takes part as an associated partner in the M-ERA.NET to promote transnational projects to support the market oriented innovation process, the know-how transfer between academy and industry on a European/International level and benchmark. Innosuisse supports bottom up generated innovation projects of all sort of disciplines. Innosuisse projects need to have an active industry involvement of at least 50%. Only public, Non-win oriented research institutes are fully funded. Industry partners like SMEs are taking part self-financed. |
