The National Technological Innovation Authority ("Innovation Authority") is an Israeli entity created by law, responsible on behalf of the Israeli Government, to advance and support research, developement and technological innovation.  The Innovation Authority provides financial support to Israeli comapnies through more than 30 diferent programs aiming to promote and adnavce domestic and international collaborations in research, developement and technological innovation.

The Israel Europe R&D Directorate (ISERD) promotes the participation of Israeli entities in R&D ventures within the European Research Area. ISERD operates in various channels such as: H2020 for Industrial and academic research; Eureka for industrial cooperation; Bi-National programs; EEN and programs co-funded by Israel and the EU.

Industrial partners are eligible for funding. Proposals must include a single or multi-year programme that will provide know how, processes or methods for the manufacture of a new product or the significant improvement of an existing product, or a new process or a significant improvement in an existing process. The product must have a sizeable potential for sales. The support is in the form of a conditional grant amounting up to 50% of the total approved R&D budget  

Israeli participants approved by M-era.NET for funding will be required to submit a proposal to the Innovation Authority program R&D fund and will be funded according to the national rules.
